Our Vision and Mission

Our Mission is to grow Torah Learning and teaching so the world will have peripheral listening of God's Wisdom.

The Yonah Foundation mission is to provide support for women’s Torah education and support for Israel’s Defense Forces. “Yonah” means Dove in Hebrew…the Dove of Peace..the World needs to accept differences to Coexist. The Jewish Nation although small in numbers is a lion in purpose.

Phillip Abraham Krupp and Bernice Thelma Carlin were Zionists from Lithuania and Russia who believed in the State of Israel and the children of Israel.  They dedicated their lives for a better world.  The two gifts God gave the Jewish people are the TORAH at Mount Sinai and the LAND of ISRAEL Torah is a set of Laws the Creator gave to the Jewish Nation to guide us and shine Light on the other 70 Nations. These commandments are crucial to navigating a world filled with War, chaos, and a myriad of ideologies. Who can best guide the world with Justice, Truth, Kindness, Trust, and Compassion than the Creator.

The Yonah Foundation supports women’s Torah centers all over the world, teaching all the Laws to the next generation. Jewish Women make the Holy Chags with festive meals and Torah teachings that Hashem bequeathed to the Jewish Nation. These Holidays especially Shabbat bring Unity and Jewish Identity to the next Generation. From Shulchan to Shulchan. (from table to table), Torah teaches character and good behavior in the worst of times and the best of times. With Holidays, we create shulchans to celebrate life’s momentous occasions and give our children a future to live in.

The second gift, the” Land of Israel” allows the Jewish nation the freedom to live our lives in peace and freedom to worship, freedom of speech, freedom from fear, freedom from antisemitism with secure borders. If we continue the lessons of Torah, stories of our history, and laws of justice to our progeny. The future mothers of our next generation will be guided by a spiritual awareness, Jewish values, derech eretz, and the wisdom of our forefathers.

The Land of Israel is protected by the Israeli Defense Forces. The Yonah Foundation supports our Defense Forces in wartime and peace. We are one nation under God who Created the World and gave us blessings to flourish in the World. The Jewish nation was given the inheritance to be a Light unto the other 70 nations, Torah, and the Land God gave us to protect and ensure peace in the world.

Threads of Courage:
Spiritual Armor for Israel’s Soldiers

More than 8,000 pairs of tzitzit, valued at over US$500,000, were donated by The Yonah Foundation—a gift that carried far more weight than fabric and threads. This initiative was born from a direct request made by the rabbis serving on the ground in Gaza, who saw firsthand what the soldiers needed most: protection, spiritual strength, and a symbol of identity that would anchor them in who they are and what they are fighting for.

These tzitzit were rushed to the front lines, delivered by foundation representatives and dedicated rabbis who travelled wherever the soldiers were stationed. Each pair was handed over not merely as a garment, but as a blessing—something meant to guard, uplift, and remind. For many soldiers, receiving tzitzit in the middle of active conflict felt like being wrapped in the ancient embrace of their people’s heritage.

The Meaning of Tzitzit — A Thread That Binds Heaven and Earth

Tzitzit are not just strings; they are a spiritual compass. Commanded in the Torah, they are meant to remind the wearer of their purpose, their commitments, and the presence of something higher. Each knot, each twist, carries intention. Tzitzit symbolize clarity in moments of confusion, courage in times of fear, and holiness even when standing in the most unholy of environments.  For Jewish soldiers, especially those fighting in Gaza, tzitzit became a quiet but powerful declaration:  “I know why I’m here. I know who I am. And I am not alone.”

The Impact on Soldiers Defending Israel

In the chaos of war—dust, noise, danger—tzitzit offered something steady. Soldiers spoke of feeling protected, spiritually grounded, and emotionally strengthened. Wearing tzitzit connected them to generations of Jews who fought, prayed, and persevered before them. It reminded them that their mission was not only military, but deeply spiritual: to defend the land of Israel and safeguard the Jewish people.  Many soldiers shared that donning tzitzit before going into combat felt like putting on invisible armor. It was a way of reclaiming identity, sanctity, and faith even in the darkest hours. These garments became a source of pride and unity, linking the soldiers to each other and to the destiny of their nation.

A Gift That Reached Beyond the Battlefield

The Yonah Foundation’s donation did not merely provide a deeply spiritual symbol—it provided hope, continuity, and spiritual protection. The tzitzit became a bridge between the home front and the battlefield, between past and future, between heaven and earth. They helped the soldiers reconnect with their roots and reminded them that every step they take, they carry the prayers and love of the entire Jewish people.  Through this contribution, the Yonah Foundation uplifted thousands of our warriors, weaving faith into their daily struggle and reminding them that they fight with purpose, with heritage, and with the strength of generations behind them.
